I am a Hoover Fellow at Stanford University's Hoover Institution. I received my Ph.D. in Political Science from UC Berkeley in 2021. My research draws on political psychology and political economy to understand how people's contexts — social, informational, economic, and otherwise — equip them with the resources they need to participate in politics.

My book, Company Towns: Industry Power and the Historical Foundations of Public Mistrust, was published in 2026 by the University of Chicago Press. The book examines how the long shadow of single-industry dominance shapes local political institutions and citizen trust.

My teaching interests center on American politics, political behavior, and research design.
